Advanced Interconnections Corp. Counterfeit Parts Prevention Policy


In response to customer inquiries regarding compliance with section 818 of the National Defense Authorization (NDA) Act dealing with Counterfeit Electronic Parts, Advanced Interconnections Corp. has prepared this statement. Advanced Interconnections Corp. is committed to working closely with customers and suppliers to reduce the risk of fraudulent or counterfeit electronic parts entering into the supply chain.
 
As defined in the NDA Act, “Electronic part means an integrated circuit, a discrete electronic component (including, but not limited to, a transistor, capacitor, resistor, or diode), or a circuit assembly” [section 818(f)(2) of Public Law 112-81].
 
Advanced Interconnections Corp. complies with section 818 of the National Defense Authorization (NDA) Act dealing with Counterfeit Electronic Parts and will purchase electronic parts only from the original manufacturers of the parts or their authorized dealers. All parts are purchased in new/original condition, are visually inspected upon receipt, and purchasing and certificate of conformance (CofC) documentation is retained. Electronic parts supplied by a customer, for the sole use in an assembly sold to that customer, shall be subject to the customer’s counterfeit parts prevention policy.
